Pork King Good Issues Voluntary Recall of Certain Sour Cream & Onion Pork Rinds and Seasoning

Pork King Good has voluntarily recalled certain Sour Cream & Onion pork rinds and seasoning products. The recall was initiated following a recall by California Dairies, Inc. due to a concern of potential Salmonella contamination in nonfat dry milk powder, which was supplied to a third-party manufacturer and used as an ingredient in our Sour Cream & Onion seasoning blend.

Neither Pork King Good, our third-party manufacturer, nor the milk powder supplier have received reports of illness or injury related to this issue to date. Independent third-party laboratory testing conducted on Pork King Good finished goods has come back negative for Salmonella. Nothing is more important to us than the safety and quality of our products, and we are taking this step out of an abundance of caution.

We have taken steps to identify all affected pork rinds and seasoning bottles produced with the impacted ingredient. Pork King Good has placed all impacted product on hold at our facility and is working with our retail and distribution partners to return or dispose of any potentially impacted product in the field. We have notified the USDA and are working closely with them throughout this process.
